In-form Lu Yen-hsun next up for Andy Murray

Andy Murray will try to overcome the form player in the draw in the second round of Wimbledon.

Novak Djokovic made it eight victories in a row by beating Adrian Mannarino on Wednesday but that still left him three behind Lu Yen-hsun.

The 32-year-old from Chinese Taipei has dominated the second-tier Challenger circuit on the British grass this summer, reaching the final in Manchester and then winning titles in Surbiton and Ilkley.

Murray said: ''It's a very tough match. He's played the three grass-court Challengers in the build-up. He's won two of them and lost in the final of one.

''He's made the quarters at this event before, beat (Andy) Roddick once. He plays well on the grass. It will be a really, really tough match, and a good test for me early in the event.''

The pair have met four times before. Lu won their opening match at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 but Murray has not dropped a set since.

The Scot will hope it is a good omen that their previous meeting at Wimbledon occurred at the same stage in 2013, the year he won the title.

Lu said: "He was very strong in that moment. H e won the title that year so now for me there is nothing to lose.

"It is a good opportunity for me, I can challenge him once again in a Wimbledon game. Of course I am happy.

"I don't put too much pressure on myself and I hope I can feel comfortable and feel good when I play against him.

"Of course it is going to be difficult. But I know what I should do and I will just try and play my tennis out there."

Lu missed six months following elbow surgery, returning in May, and he has not had the luck of the draw at grand slams since.

He won only six games against Djokovic in the opening round of the French Open, and he said: " At least grass is better for me. Clay is not my best surface.

"Novak right now is at the very top, it doesn't matter if you play him on hard court or grass, you can only touch him if he gives you that chance.

"Andy is the same, you are just trying to shake him a little so he gives you a chance. This is what I will try and do."

The best moment of Lu's career came at the All England Club six years ago, when he defeated Roddick to reach the quarter-finals.

"I am always trying to remember that moment when I come back here," he said. "Even if I don't copy it again I am still really proud and l love this place and what I have done here."

Very little play was possible on the uncovered courts on Wednesday so organisers will desperately hope lost ground can be made up.

Heather Watson is among those players still to finish their first-round matches and she will resume an early break down to Annika Beck in the deciding set.

Dan Evans will look to complete his match against Alexandr Dolgopolov while Johanna Konta follows her fellow British number one Murray on to Centre Court to face Eugenie Bouchard.
