Madison Keys advanced into the Aegon Classic final as she came from behind to beat Carla Suarez Navarro in Birmingham on Saturday.

Battling back from a set down for the second successive round, American seventh seed Keys eventually saw off her sixth-seeded Spanish opponent 3-6 6-3 7-6 (7/3).

The 21-year-old's victory means she will next week break into the world's top 10 for the first time in her career.

Sunday's final will see her face Czech Barbora Strycova, who also triumphed on Saturday after losing the first set, getting past Keys' compatriot Coco Vandeweghe 2-6 6-4 6-3.

Keys, quoted on the WTA website, said of her performance: "The first set was definitely a slow start for me.

"I felt like my energy was really low and not very positive

"So it was a big thing for me just to come out and really be a lot more positive and have a high level of intensity and energy. If I was able to do that, and she beat me anyways, then too good from her.

"I would have been really disappointed in myself had I not been able to kind of at least change what I could on my side of the net."
