Home favourite Teliana Pereira booked a final meeting with Germany's Annika Beck at the Brasil Tennis Cup in Florianopolis.
Fourth seed Pereira saw off Latvia's Anastasija Sevastova 6-3 7-5 in a match which featured 10 breaks of serve to move one win away from her second career WTA title.
Beck, the third seed, faced a rather sterner test as she needed two hours and 20 minutes to defeat American fifth seed Bethanie Mattek-Sands.
Beck triumphed 7-6 (10/8) 4-6 6-3.
