Brit Tara Moore wins first grand slam match to progress at Wimbledon

Britain's Tara Moore won her first ever grand slam match as she beat Belgium's Alison van Uytvanck to reach the Wimbledon second round.

Van Uytvanck is ranked 100 places higher than world number 227 Moore but it was the British number four who progressed with a 6-3 6-2 victory.

Moore will earn £50,000 for playing in round two, where she will meet either Caroline Wozniacki or 13th seed Svetlana Kuznetsova.
