Bryans Help Inspiring Children Foundation In Indian Wells

The TEAM BRYAN program for the 16th year organised 400 children, parents and coaches to be inspired by the BNP Paribas Open, the season's first ATP Masters 1000 tournament.
In a partnership that was strengthened at the 2006 ATP Tour event in Las Vegas, The Bryan Brothers Foundation, The Inspiring Children Foundation and Wayne Bryan helped the children once more enjoy the experience of their year in Indian Wells.
The kids enjoyed an opening night talent show, a clinic with Wayne Bryan, doubles shootout, and two amazing sessions at the tournament where they get to see and cheer on their heroes, Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan.
“We are so proud to mentor and sponsor these children,” said Bob Bryan. “This is our chance to give to children what our parents gave us, an incredible life.”

The trip is 90 per cent run by the children who are a part of the Inspiring Children Foundation. The kids organise the trip as part of their leadership development program, during which children learn entrepreneurial skills by doing real-life projects.
These at-risk youth have become some of the best tennis players in the U.S. for their age group, most have straight A’s, and they’ve embraced the program’s cutting-edge emphasis on emotional intelligence, mindfulness and mentoring.
Many of these children have used tennis, academics and the arts through the TEAM BRYAN program to overcome adversity and challenges in their lives. Children come from Las Vegas, San Diego, Ventura County, Washington, Denver and a special group from the National Tennis Foundation and The Necker Cup.
The program was created sixteen years ago by Ryan Wolfington and Marty Hennessy in partnership with the Bryans. But the program especially picked up steam in 2006 when Wolfington, a lifetime entrepreneur, was marketing the Las Vegas ATP event, and every night drove home tournament emcee Wayne Bryan.
“He's the encyclopedia of developing the scholar athlete,” Wolfington told ATPTour.com. “He had this holistic approach that we knew was the best approach. The way in which he did it and how he made it fun, inspirational and motivating. I took a lot of what Wayne created and what he did with the boys.
“Over the years we just became closer and closer friends.”
TEAM BRYAN is a comprehensive, six days a week, 11 hours a day program that has posted remarkable results. Student-athletes have succeeded on the court, reaching Top 10 rankings for their age group, and, to date, 116 have earned scholarships to colleges for academics and tennis, including at such prestigious universities as Stanford, Princeton, Yale, Penn, Brown, Dartmouth, Vanderbilt, Georgetown, Air Force Academy and many others.
