Karen Khachanov advances to first ATP final against Albert RamosVinolas

Russian Karen Khachanov is in with a chance of claiming his maiden ATP Tour title after making the final of the Chengdu Open.

The 20-year-old defeated Viktor Troicki 6-3 7-5 to reach his first ever final and he will meet Albert Ramos-Vinolas on Sunday.

The Spaniard sent third seed Grigor Dimitrov packing in the semi-final, claiming a 7-6 (8/6), 1-6 7-6 (7/3) win.

Tomas Berdych is on course to retain his Shenzhen Open title after making the final.

The Czech top seed beat Thomaz Bellucci 6-2 7-5 in the semi-final and he will now meet Richard Gasquet on Sunday.

The Frenchman, seeded third, was the beneficiary of a retirement as Janko Tiosarevic called time when he was trailing 6-2 4-1.
