Fourth seed Juan Monaco made an early exit at the Swedish Open as he crashed out in the second round in Bastad.
The Argentinian went down 6-4 6-2 to German Alexander Zverev who is ranked 96 places below the 31-year-old.
Zverev will face Thomaz Bellucci in the quarter-finals after the Brazilian overcame wildcard Christian Lindell 6-3 6-4.
In first-round action, Federico Delbonis beat Rogerio Dutra Silva 1-6 6-4 6-4 and Denis Istomin was a 6-3 6-4 victor against Diego Schwartzman.
