Australian teenagers Nick Kyrgios and Ashleigh Barty were among 16-players, mostly French, who received wild cards for the French Open starting on May 25.
The teenagers will be playing at Roland Garros for the second time after both reached the second round as wild cards last year.
Barty, 18, reached three Grand Slam doubles finals last year, while Kyrgios, 19, has won two straight challengers since coming back from an elbow injury.
French players Michael Llodra, Paul-Henri Mathieu, Pauline Parmentier and Mathilde Johansson also received wild cards for the second Grand Slam of the season.
Former world 21 Llodra has dropped to 133rd in the world rankings and at 33 years plans to call time on his career at the end of this season.
His best result at Roland Garros was a last-16 finish in 2008, along with 82nd-ranked Mathieu, 32, who was a quarter-finalist in Bucharest this season.
Other wild cards in the men's event were attributed to French players Pierre-Hugues Herbert, Axel Michon, Albano Olivetti and Lucas Pouille and former world 15th-ranked American Robby Ginepri, now 275th.
In the women's event, Swedish-born French player Johansson, is ranked 140th and was beaten in the second round last year, while Parmentier, ranked 171th, went out in the first round in 2013.
Other women's wild cards went to French players Fiona Ferro, Claire Feuerstein, Amandine Hesse, Alize Lim and American Taylor Townsend.
