Top seed Agnieszka Radwanska cruised into the last eight of the Aegon Open Nottingham with a comfortable win over Christina McHale.

The world number 13, who is looking to pick the pieces up after a disappointing clay-court season, needed just over an hour to dispatch the American 6-3 6-1.

Radwanska next faces another American in Lauren Davis for a place in the semi-finals as she looks to prepare for Wimbledon.

"I'm very happy, I've played already two good matches here - and two quick ones - so hopefully I can play five here," Radwanska said on the WTA website.

"That's the goal for me and now I will just get ready for the next one - I'm not looking too far ahead."

Britain's Johanna Konta also progressed after completing her delayed match with Monica Puig on Thursday night.

Bad light halted proceedings on Wednesday with the players having won a set each, but the 24-year-old edged a tense tie-break to take a 4-6 6-4 7-6 (7/5) victory.

"It was difficult not being able to finish a match the same day you started," Konta said. "You still have all that excitement and nerves, and you obviously can't put it to rest when you go to bed. It takes a lot out of you, but it's not the first or the last time it will happen.

"I knew we were going out there for only one set so I had to hit the ground running. I managed to do that, but she obviously upped her level and there were ups and downs for both of us and I'm just very fortunate that I got through in the end."

Yanina Wickmayer was in almost as much of a hurry as Radwanska as she needed just 67 minutes to blow Bojana Jovanovski off the court 6-0 6-4.

Ana Konjuh put in a similarly commanding performance to get past Casey Dellacqua 6-4 6-2, while Sachia Vickery beat Zarina Diyas 4-6 7-6 (7/5) 6-1.
