A qualifier is guaranteed a place in the final of the Coupe Banque Nationale in Quebec, with Lauren Davis and Tereza Martincova going head-to-head in the semis.
America's Davis wrapped up a 6-3 7-6 (7/4) success over Russia's Alla Kudryavtseva to set up a last-four clash against Czech Tereza Martincova, who defeated America's Jessica Pegula 6-3 7-6 (9/7) in Friday's other quarter-final.
Oceane Dodin and Julia Boserup will meet in the other semi-final after they won their respective matches earlier in the day.
France's Dodin overcame Belgium's Alison Van Uytvanck 6-2 6-4, while Boserup was a 7-6 (7/0) 6-4 conqueror of fellow American Catherine Bellis, who earlier this week announced she is to turn professional.
