Kvitova through in a flash

Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova, the fourth-seeded Czech, thrashed Australia's Ashleigh Barty 6-1, 6-2 in 54min on Tuesday to reach the second round at Roland Garros.

Kvitova next faces either Urszula Radwanska of Poland or Pauline Parmentier of France.
