Katie Swan claimed her second singles win in as many days to set up a Fed Cup promotion play-off for Great Britain.
The 16-year-old, who became the team's youngest player on Thursday, starred again as Judy Murray's team beat Georgia 2-1 in Eilat, Israel.
The result leaves Great Britain on top of Pool B in Europe/Africa Group 1, meaning they will face Belgium or Bulgaria on Saturday with a World Group II play-off place at stake.
Swan fought back after losing her opening service game, then fended off a late fightback to beat Georgia's world number 327 Ekaterina Gorgodze 6-3 6-3.
And Great Britain secured victory in the tie in the second singles rubber when Heather Watson eased past Sofia Shapatava 6-2 6-0.
Jocelyn Rae and Anna Smith were beaten 6-2 6-4 by Shapatava and Oksana Kalashnikova in the doubles match.
Swan was selected by Murray to make her debut in the tie after Australian Open semi-finalist and British number one Johanna Konta withdrew due to injury.
