Eugenie Bouchard upset third seed Dominika Cibulkova to book a final meeting with Alize Cornet at the Hobart International.
The Canadian former Wimbledon finalist, who has slipped to 47th in the world, beat the third seed from Slovakia 6-1 4-6 6-4 in a match featuring 12 breaks of serve.
Cornet, the seventh-seeded Frenchwoman, enjoyed far more straightforward progress as she crushed Sweden's Johanna Larsson 6-1 6-1.
