Eugenie Bouchard dumped out of US Open in first round by Katerina Siniakova

Eugenie Bouchard crashed out in the US Open first round but insisted she has not been distracted by her ongoing lawsuit against the tournament.

Bouchard is suing the grand slam and the United States Tennis Association after slipping on a wet changing room floor last year and having to withdraw from the competition.

The Canadian's misery at Flushing Meadows continued on Tuesday as she was beaten 6-3 3-6 6-2 by world number 72 Czech Katerina Siniakova.

Bouchard was adamant, however, that legal matters off court were not affecting her performance.

"I am 100 per cent focused on tennis and I have lawyers who are working on the case and I don't think about it often at all, maybe once a month when they call me," Bouchard said.

"I'm disappointed with what I think happened so I have to fight for what I think is right."
