Azarenka takes top spot in WTA rankings

Newly-crowned Australian Open champion Victoria Azarenka added the world number one ranking to her honours on Monday as she took the spot from Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki in the WTA rankings released on Monday.

The 22-year-old from Belarus crushed Russia's world number three Maria Sharapova 6-3, 6-0 in her first Grand Slam final in Melbourne on Saturday.
