Venus Williams shrugged off a rain deluge on match point to dismiss hugely-talented Russian teenager Darya Kasatkina in three sets for her 79th career victory at Wimbledon.
Williams prevailed 7-5 4-6 10-8 to edge out 29th seed Kasatkina, in a third-round match that stretched across more than five hours amid relentless rain showers.
The 36-year-old five-time Wimbledon champion will now meet the winner of the match between Carina Witthoeft and Angelique Kerber in the fourth round.
