Simone Bolelli was born 8th October 1985 in Bologna, Italy and achieved a career high ranking of 36 on 23rd February 2009.
In 2003, Bolelli reached his first ITF Futures tournament semifinal at Egypt F1, losing to 485th-ranked Jaroslav Pospisil. He played entirely Futures events in 2003 except for one Challenger tournament in Brindisi, losing to Galo Blanco in the second round.
