Leonardo Mayer was born May 15th, 1987 and achieved a singles career high of world number 56 on August 3rd, 2009. His career high in doubles was world number 121 on July 23rd, 2007.
He started playing tennis aged nine and won one Challenger singles title in 2008, and qualified for his first ever Grand Slam at the 2009 French Open, beating 15th seed James Blake in straight sets in the first round before losing to Tommy Haas.
