Biography

On 11 September 2006 Lourdes Dominguez Lino reached her career-high singles ranking: World No. 40.

In the 1999 Roland Garros, she won Girl's singles, defeating Stephanie Foretz 6–4, 6–4.

In August 2002, Lino was suspended from the WTA tour for 3 months, after testing positive for cocaine that March.

In 2005 in Bogota she faced Flavia Pennetta in the final, but lost. In 2006 she again faced Pennetta in the Bogota final, and won her one WTA Tour singles tournament to date.

In May 2009 at the French Open she made it as far as the third round, where she lost to Canadian world number 24 Aleksandra Wozniak, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, with some rallies lasting 25 shots.
