Federer into French Open second round

Roger Federer kicked off his 50th straight Grand Slam tournament with a 6-2, 7-5, 6-3 win over Germany's Tomas Kamke in the first round of the French Open on Monday.

The 16-time Grand Slam title winner, and champion in 2009, next faces either David Nalbandian of Argentina or Adrian Ungur of Romania.
