Britons optimistic of Hopman Cup success

Great Britain pairing Andy Murray and Laura Robson are hopeful of reaching the final of the Hopman Cup after surviving a scare to win their opening tie against Kazakhstan on Monday.
The third seeds face two more ties in the group against Germany and Russia and know victory in one of those could sew up a place in Saturday's title decider.
"This was the one match in the group we were perhaps expected to win," Murray said. "We just managed to get through so hopefully we can win one more which will give us a chance to go through."
Murray and Robson had never played, or even trained, together before clinching the tie in the mixed doubles and Murray believes their partnership will improve as the week continues.
"No we haven't practised together yet. Hopefully Laura and I will be able to train before the next match against Germany," Murray said.
"It was fun to play mixed. I don't get to play it a lot.
"It was emotional. It was good fun. I think we both enjoyed it."
