Davidoff Swiss Indoors

Switzerland’s largest sporting event and one of the most important indoor tournaments in the world, the Davidoff Swiss Indoors traditionally takes place in Basel and always forms part of the end-of-season run-up to the World Finals. The magnificent St. Jakobshalle is the setting for this annual gathering of the elite of the tennis world.

Stefan Edberg and Roger Federer hold the record for most singles titles, both having won the tournament three times, in 1985, 1986 and 1988, and 2006, 2007, and 2008 respectively. Federer has reached the final a record 6 times (beating Edberg's previous record of 5 final appearances in Basel).

As of 2009, three Swiss players have won the singles title: Michel Burgener, in 1972, Jakob Hlasek, in 1991, and Roger Federer, in 2006, 2007, and 2008.
