Porsche Tennis Grand Prix
The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix is a tennis tournament held in Stuttgart, Germany (until 2005, in Filderstadt, a southern suburb of Stuttgart). Held since 1978, the tournament is a part of the WTA Tour schedule and is a Tier II tournament. The singles champion also receives a Porsche sports car in addition to prize money.
The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix is one of the 20 Premier Events on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour. Only the four Grand Slam tournaments have a higher status. The Porsche-Tennis-Grand-Prix 2009 was the first indoor tournament in tennis history to be played on clay.
