Kyle Edmund will take on former top-10 player Janko Tipsarevic in the opening match of Great Britain's Davis Cup quarter-final against Serbia in Belgrade on Friday.

Edmund, 21, is leading the British team for the first time as Andy Murray sits out a tie for the first time in nearly three years following his Wimbledon victory on Sunday.

In the second match on Friday, James Ward will face Serbian number one Dusan Lajovic, while Saturday's doubles match will see Jamie Murray and Dom Inglot take on Tipsarevic and Nenad Zimonjic.

Andy Murray was believed to be flying out on Thursday to support his team-mates.
