Moscow-born American Alex Bogomolov will spearhead Russia's team for the Davis Cup World Group play-off tie against Brazil later this month.
The 29-year-old, who has dual citizenship, moved to Florida in 1992 and has represented the USA at tournaments since turning pro 10 years ago.
But he was given the green light to play for Russia in Davis Cup matches by the International Tennis Federation in December, having never played in the competition for the United States.
Alongside Bogomolov in the team announced by Russia's Davis Cup captain Shamil Tarpishchev on Tuesday were Igor Andreev, Evgeny Donskoy, and Andrey Kuznetsov.
The tie is scheduled to be played on the clay courts of Harmonia Tenis Clube in Sao Jose do Rio Preto on September 14-16.
Bogomolov made his debut for Russia in this season's first round match with the hosts Austria, losing both of his ties as Russia suffered a 3-2 defeat.
He is currently lying 73rd in the ATP rankings, with Andreev at 100th, Donskoy at 119th and Kuznetsov ranked 127th.
