The Wimbledon queue is part and parcel of the Championships and being in it is a badge of honour for some ardent fans.

The queue has a limited number of tickets for Centre Court, Courts One and Court Two, and at 2pm on Sunday it was announced the queue for those tickets on Monday was already full.

There was joy for one fan who had flown 3,457 miles from New York to join the queue. Twitter user @chewyyorkie wrote: "Started my journey at 18.55 in NYC, joined the queue at 7.45, & now have my very own Q card! Thanks!!"

Quote of the day

"I see still lots of room for improvement, things that I can work on. That's something that encourages me" - defending champion Novak Djokovic gives hope to himself but not the rest of the men's tour.

Tweet of the day

"More than ever, all my support for Spain" - she may be the French Open winner but Garbine Muguruza has football on her mind at the minute and posed in the national side's shirt.

Match of the day

Perhaps an obvious one, but all eyes will be on Centre Court at 1pm on Monday when the seemingly unbeatable Djokovic takes on Londoner James Ward. Few expect Ward to get close to the defending champion, but fellow Brit Andy Murray will be desperate for him to rough up his main title rival.
