Viktor Troicki has been fined 10,000 US dollars for his remarkable outburst at Wimbledon but a heavier punishment has gone to Britain's Heather Watson.

The British number two jammed her racket into the grass during her heartbreaking first-round loss to Germany's Annika Beck and has been ordered to pay 12,000 dollars (approximately £9,000), tournament organisers said.

Defending women's champion Serena Williams was handed a 10,000 dollar fine (approximately £7,500) for smashing her racket after losing the first set to Christina McHale on Friday and then throwing it behind her, where it landed on the lap of a cameraman.
