Andy Murray's bid to win a sixth title at Queen's next year will be spurred on by more than 2,000 extra fans after the tournament agreed to expand its Centre Court.

The additional capacity will be added to the current 6,651 seats on the club's main grass court, where Murray beat Milos Raonic in the final in June.

Murray has won a record five titles there, having previously been crowned champion in 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2015.

The Lawn Tennis Association, which owns the tournament, has also agreed to continue staging the Aegon Championships at The Queen's Club for another 10 years.

The tournament was first held at Queen's in 1890.
