Nicolas Almagro won his first tour-level title since 2012 after fighting back from a set down to beat Pablo Carreno Busta in the all-Spanish final of the Estoril Open.

Almagro was edged out in the first set on a tie-break despite taking a 6-2 lead, but the 30-year-old recovered to claim the win 6-7 (6/8) 7-6 (7/5) 6-3.

One break in the final set was all it needed for Almagro to secure his 13th ATP World Tour title as a number of unforced errors ended his opponent's hopes of lifting the trophy in his first final.
