Juan Martin del Potro claims overdue ATP Tour title

Juan Martin del Potro won his first ATP Tour title in 33 months by dispatching America's Jack Sock 7-5 6-1 at the If Stockholm Open.

The Argentinian toasted his return to full fitness after enduring three years of debilitating wrist problems by sweeping to his 19th tour-level title.

The 28-year-old stormed to the Swedish crown without dropping a set, and was only broken on his serve twice all week.

Richard Gasquet claimed his 14th ATP World Tour title with a straight-sets victory over Diego Schwartzman at the European Open in Antwerp.

The Frenchman prevailed 7-6 (7/4) 6-1 before later admitting his relief at a vital first-set reprieve.

"It was a tough match especially in the first set when I was leading 5-4 and 40-0 on my serve," Gasquet told atpworldtour.com.

"It was important for me to win the tie-break and I took a lot of confidence into the second set.

"It was a great match for me and I was the favourite to win, so it's important for me."

Pablo Carreno Busta battled past Fabio Fognini 4-6 6-3 6-2 to claim the VTB Kremlin Cup title in Moscow.
