Two umpires have been banned from tennis for life by the International Tennis Federation.

Uzbekistani pair Sherzod Hasanov and Arkhip Molotyagin were found guilty of several betting-related offences and have had their officiating certification permanently revoked.

The duo's offences took place on the Futures tour, the lowest level of professional tennis and the main area of concern for corruption in the sport.

Hasanov and Molotyagin were found to have delayed inputting scores of matches to allow a third party to whom they were communicating to benefit by placing bets on those matches.

They also fraudulently manipulated scores by inputting fictitious deuce games while Hasanov counselled or procured other officials to manipulate the scoring system.

A statement read: "Following investigations by the Tennis Integrity Unit, Mr Hasanov and Mr Molotyagin were found guilty by an ITF Disciplinary Panel of charges laid under the 2015 edition of the Code of Conduct for Officials."
