Grigor Dimitrov sees off Ivo Karlovic in Istanbul

Second seed Grigor Dimitrov reached the Istanbul Open final after beating Ivo Karlovic 7-6 (7/0) 7-6 (7/2) in a close fought match on Saturday.

Karlovic did not face a break point throughout the encounter but Dimitrov dominated both tiebreakers to reach his eighth ATP Tour final.

The Bulgarian will face unseeded Diego Schwartzman on Sunday in the pair's first meeting.

Schwartzman caused an upset coming from behind to beat fourth seed Federico Delbonis 6-7 (7/5) 6-3 6-2.

The Argentine won the tie-breaker in the first set but struggled to compete against some impressive play from Schwartzman, who reached his first career final.
