Richard Gasquet and Gael Monfils won their respective semi-finals on Saturday to ensure the Open Sud ATP final in Montpellier will be an all-French affair.

Gasquet, the French number one and ninth in the world, progressed with a 7-6 (8/6), 7-6 (7/4) defeat of Poland's Jerzy Janowicz.

Waiting for him on Sunday is Monfils, 30th in the world, who clinched his place in the final with a 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 win over Finland's Jarkko Nieminen.

Gasquet said: "I was having trouble returning but I managed to beat him and I'm very happy to be playing Gael in the final."

Both Gasquet and Monfils had teamed up last week to see off Australia 5-1 in the Davis Cup World Group first round tie.

"We were saying last week that we'd meet in the final here in Montpellier," recalled Gasquet.
