Tomas Berdych and Guillermo Garcia-Lopez will meet in the final of the Shenzhen Open on Monday after both men won their rain-delayed semi-finals.

Heavy rain halted proceedings multiple times on Sunday after both semi-finals were washed out on Saturday but t op seed Berdych eventually closed out a 6-1 6-4 victory against 2014 runner-up Tommy Robredo.

The Czech will play fourth seed Garcia-Lopez in the title match, which is now scheduled for Monday, after he fought back from a set down to overcome second seed Marin Cilic 1-6 7-5 6-3.

Berdych and Garcia-Lopez each have three wins apiece from their six meetings, with Berdych coming out on top in four sets in the most recent clash in the third round of the US Open last month.

Speaking about the weather conditions, Berdych said on www.atpworldtour.com: "It is what it is. We can't do anything about the weather.

"Many years ago I played a final on a Monday and it was very similar to today. Otherwise, we'd have to call it off and there would be no winner."
