01 July 2016 01:53

Andy Murray faces John Millman in the third round of Wimbledon and the Press Association Rating System has him as the clear favourite.

Our data makes the Scot an 83.6 per cent victory prospect, with Australian Millman the comfortable outsider, as would be expected of the world number 67.

They have met once before, Murray winning on the hard courts of Brisbane in 2013, although it was not the clearest-cut of victories.

Murray's first serve was at 71 per cent, with Millman at 57. So far at these championships, Murray is winning 78 per cent of his first-serve points, in keeping with his career average on grass, while Millman is well above his, winning 76 per cent compared to a career return of 67.

Millman is returning well, with a 75 per cent rate, and has cracked 81 winners, more than Murray's 62. But Murray's all-round game is comfortably better. He is returning at 85 per cent in this tournament alone and is winning 91 per cent of points at the net.

Millman is just 62 per cent at the net and has spent considerably longer on the court than Murray - five hours and 21 minutes compared to three hours and 23 minutes.
