World number one Caroline Wozniacki said she had no regrets over keeping Roger Federer waiting until almost midnight to get on court at the US Open on Monday.
Wozniacki spent just over three hours in defeating Svetlana Kuznetsova 6-7 (6/8), 7-5, 6-1 to reach the quarter-finals, pushing back the start time for Federer's last 16 tie against Juan Monaco on the same Arthur Ashe Stadium court.
"Last year I played second night match after Rafael Nafal where the night session started late. I came on at around 12:00 and finished at 1:00, so I've been there," said Wozniacki.
"It's always tough to start that late. But I was just focusing on myself. I was just trying to win."
