Azarenka pulls out of Cincinnati event

Third seed Victoria Azarenka withdrew from the WTA and ATP hardcourt tournament in Cincinnati on Wednesday with an injured right hand, tour officials said.

Azarenka of Belarus suffered a strained hand before her scheduled match against Israel's Shahar Peer. She will be replaced in the draw by lucky loser Pauline Parmentier of France.
