Serena hails 'drama queen' Murray

Serena Williams declared herself a fan of fellow Wimbledon finalist Andy Murray on Friday and said she was happy to see the Scot portrayed as a 'drama queen'.

Murray received the unflattering label from 1977 Wimbledon women's champion Virginia Wade, who claimed the world number four exaggerated the effect of bumps and bruises during matches.

But Williams, who tackles Agnieszka Radwanska in Saturday's women's final, said Murray was one of the most exciting players on the tour.

"I love watching him play because I think it's so exciting. You never know what he's going to do. He's running every ball down. He looks tired and then he comes back," said the American.

"I think it's awesome. He's really one of my favourite people to watch for years now. If that's being a drama queen, it's really exciting."

Murray will face Roger Federer in the men's final on Sunday where he will be the first British men's finalist in 74 years.
