Seeded trio Annika Beck, Teliana Pereira and Bethanie Mattek-Sands all booked their spots in the semi-finals of the Brasil Tennis Cup in Florianopolis.
Third seed Beck was untroubled in reaching the last four, with the German cruising to a 6-3 6-3 victory over home hope Gabriela Ce.
Ce's fellow Brazilian Teliana Pereira, seeded fourth, had few problems in dispatching seventh seed Laura Siegemund 6-3 7-5 to set up a clash with unseeded Latvian Anastasija Sevastova, who defeated Spain's Maria-Teresa Torro-Flor 7-6 (7/4) 6-4.
Fifth seed Bethanie Mattek-Sands was pushed into a decider, where the American excelled to record a 7-6 (7/2) 4-6 6-1 victory over Czech opponent Tereza Martincova.
