Lesia Tsurenko made it a first WTA final to remember after beating Urszula Radwanska 7-5 6-1 to win the TEB BNP Paribas Istanbul Cup.
It was Radwanska who made the stronger start in the battle of the unseeded players, setting up three set points at 5-4 only for Tsurenko to survive.
The 26-year-old Ukrainian then rattled off seven winning games in a row, winning the first set and racing 4-0 ahead in the second, and her first tour title arrived shortly after.
