Switzerland's Belinda Bencic became the youngest winner of a WTA title since former world number one Caroline Wozniacki in 2008 with victory in the Aegon International Eastbourne.

Bencic, at 18 years and 109 days, beat Agnieszka Radwanska 6-4 4-6 6-0 to record a tournament win at the third time of asking after runners-up finishes.

Wozniacki, who coincidentally was Bencic's semi-final opponent on Friday but withdrew with a back injury, was 18 years and 43 days when she won her first Premier title in New Haven seven years ago.

The first two sets took an hour and 49 minutes but the Swiss stepped things up in the decider, closing out victory in just 24 minutes.
