John Isner and Sam Querrey won dead rubber singles matches for the United States on Sunday to complete a 5-0 sweep of Slovakia in a Davis Cup tie.
The Americans had already clinched victory and a berth in the 2015 World Group with singles triumphs by Isner and Querrey on Friday and a doubles victory by US Open doubles champions Bob and Mike Bryan on Saturday.
On Sunday, Isner defeated Lukas Lacko 6-3, 6-0 and Querrey downed Norbert Gombos 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.
The Americans, who have won the trophy a record 32 times, last captured the Davis Cup in 2007.
