Wimbledon to fall silent

Wimbledon will observe the nationwide minute's silence at midday on Friday, in memory of the victims of the Tunisia terror attack.

Some 30 Britons are believed to be among the 38 shot dead by student Seifeddine Rezgui, 23, at the beach resort of Sousse on Friday.

All England Club chief executive Richard Lewis confirmed Wimbledon will observe the mark of respect, with play on the outside courts starting at 12.15pm instead of the usual 11.30am.

"Wimbledon will be joining the national minute's silence on Friday and we will be asking all those in the grounds at the time to observe the silence out of respect to the victims in Tunisia and their families," said Lewis.
