Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has confirmed he has parted company with co-coach Nicolas Escude.

The news comes less than 48 hours after Frenchman Tsonga clinched the Moselle Open in Metz by beating compatriot Gilles Simon.

Former player Escude had been overseeing Tsonga's progress for the last two years, alongside fellow coach Thierry Ascione.

Escude had announced his departure on Sunday, while on Monday, Tsonga wrote on his twitter account: "As you know, I ended my collaboration with Nicolas Escude. After two years of loyal service

"I wish him good luck for his future adventures and thanks him for his involvement alongside me !!! #tsongateam #scud"

Tsonga had a disappointing Wimbledon display in 2015, but he did manage a semi-final appearance at the French Open - losing to eventual champion Stan Wawrinka - and also reached the last eight at the US Open earlier this month.
