Grigor Dimitrov made to work hard to reach Kuala Lumpur quarter-finals

Grigor Dimitrov had to rally to make it through to the quarter-finals of the Malaysian Open as he was given a workout by Joao Sousa in Kuala Lumpur.

Having lost the first set, the number four seed found himself trailing 2-4 in the third before winning four games in a row to advance 2-6 6-3 6-4 and set up a meeting with Benjamin Becker.

The win means that all the seeds in action on Thursday advanced.

Top seed David Ferrer beat Radek Stepanek 7-5 6-3 to set up a meeting with the unseeded Mikhail Kukushkin, who beat Radu Albot 6-3 6-2.

Second seed Feliciano Lopez overcame qualifier Mischa Zverev 6-3 7-6 (7/4), and will next face eighth seed Vasek Pospisil, a 7-6 (7/2) 3-6 6-3 winner over Marcos Baghdatis.
